The jihadist propaganda applies most of the categories and techniques which make up this form of communication. However, as analysts clearly showed, the jihadist message flow is substantially one-way, grounding its capacity to spread and intensify contents on the attention received by the media, becomed an unwilled sounding board of AQ’s related/inspired groups. The analysis of language and images of jihad networks, media, and magazine is then a mean to assess their power to affiliate, instigate and promote their requests, as well as to highlight the strength and weakness of their communication strategy. Countermeasuers to this drafting have been implemented and are getting more and more sophisticated: is this another step toward digital & psychological warfare?
